As part of the project entitled “Enhancing cross-border co-operation in promotion of chess sport and in youth chess education” co-financed by the Interreg-IPA CBC Hungary-Serbia Programme from 17th to 24th July 2021,

the 25th International Chess Festival ,,The Battle of Senta 1697” will be organized ( 4 groups: main tournament, B-group , children and BLITZ )

Our association and the chess world at large lost a legend on 2 October 2019: at the age of 90, János Kubát, the most prominent figure of our club, world-renowned table tennis coach, journalist and chess tournament organizer, has passed to the “happy chess ground”

Third chess classes for advanced young players

Right after the chess festival "Battle of Senta 1697", at Saturday and Sunday (20th and 21th of July) were held third chess classes for advanced young players in Vojvodina. International chess master Dejan Nestorović taught the participants about the positional playing.

The first Chess lectures for advanced young players

At 26th May has begun and at 27th May will be continued the chess classes for advanced young players, as a part of the project ProChess. During the course, international chess master Dejan Nestorović will teach the participants for 16 months.

Project opening event

The project opening conference for ProChess project was held today in Szeged, Hungary. It is known that this 18-month project is implemented by Chess club Senta and Sport club Maróczy Géza from Szeged, as a part of the IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme, funded by EU.

Chess Club Senta takes part in the IPA Cross-border Co-operation Programme, founded bz the European Union. Today has started a great project, that has the goal to promote chess sport and to foster youth chess education within the Hungarian-Serbian border region.
